Yay! Paint job is finished!

Modular Mini's prototype of the first module has been painted this week. Now this first version has been finished I already small things that can be improved. But the major part of the design is as I imagined it to be!

A big hurray for Marieke who given so much effort to build it! And now she seems to be unstoppable en wants to build a prototype of the second module. I can't wait!

In the meantime I'm making drafts of the furniture. So the designing process goes on!

The first images of the prototype!

Still just in the primer but all ready some furniture inside the Modular Mini. I bought some Lundby items on Amazon just to get right the feeling when there was something in the house. On the spot we decided that there had to be a window in the kitchen and that we had to add something to the terrace. 

So Marieke took the house back home by bus and train (!)  to do the adjustment, work on the stairs and finish the painting. The interior walls, ceiling and floor stay white De fireplace and the outside will be painted in grey to add some contrast.

First look at the prototype!

Exciting moment. Checking if the desired design is working.
The wall between kitchen and living room turned out too small, taking a look with a thicker wall. And a piece of wood is placed to check how wide the fireplace has to be.
Everything is not glued here, just checking measurements.

Prototype building process

Sometimes you just need some extra help to keep things in place during model making
